Q: Why would I buy artificial instead of fresh?
A: Artificial / silk flowers have advanced so much that it is often hard to tell a high quality artificial flower from a fresh one. Having worked in the floral industry and knowing that there are two types of artificials...yes there are still plenty that dont look real! we decided when doing this business that brides wanted beautiful, quality flowers but not the hassle that sometimes comes along with having fresh. In fresh, flowers are not always in season, or if seasons are unausually hot or cold, then this will affect how long the growing season is. I have heard countless times where brides have picked flowers that are in season only to find out the week of the wedding that the flowers are no good and they have to be changed. Dont forget that by having artificial you can keep your bouquet so you save on having to preserve your flowers. The other benefit of having artificial is that once the items are made, we email you photos so that you know what your flowers look like. You might also live remotely so having fresh flowers is not an option. There are lots of benefits of having artificial/silk and like most things for your wedding, it is a personal choice.
Q: What is the difference between silk & artificial flowers?
A: Absolutely nothing. They are one and the same. Other names also inlcude life like and synthetic. Basically the "silk" part is from one of the base materials used in most artificial flowers and over the years has stuck as a popular description. The flowers are not made of 100% silk fabric but rather a blend of poly materials.
Q: I can see the colours available but am not sure if the colours I like will work together? DO you have any photos?
A: Thats ok. Just email us what colours you are interested in and we will email you the flowers in a cluster so you can see what they look like.
Q: How do you send the bouquets?
A: We send the flowers boxed up with tissue so that they are nice and secure. Once you have received your flowers, you need to check them and I must be notified within 7 working days of you receiving your order if there are any problems. Carefully place them back in the box with the tissue. This way they will be perfect for your wedding day.
Q: How much will it cost to send my bouquets?
A: It really depends on where you live and how big the parcel is. We send all over Australia - and different regions have different charges. At the time of quoting I can give you a price. Generally allow $20 - $60.
Q: Can you send me a sample of the flowers I like?
A: Sure, but you will need to pay for the item and the postage. Unfortuately we cannot send them free of charge as our pricing does not allow for it. Dont forget you can use the sample flowers for your hair or even to decorate things like a wishing well. The individual prices of flowers are listed in each section. To get a price on postage simply email us what you want along with your postcode.
Q: I love what you have but my budget is really tight. Do you have anything cheaper?
A: We understand and we know how things add up very quickly. There are plenty of options out there, you just need to be upfront with us so we can help you to get the best for your money. Obviously if the items are cheaper then the flowers wont be the same as on our website. Our suggestion is to get what you want for yourself and make changes in other areas like with bridesmaids flowers. I know this can be hard, especially if your bridesmaids arn't very cooperative but its your day and your flowers will be a keepsake and reminder of it. Sometimes going smaller for bridesmaids or having wristlets will save you some money. Speak to us and we can give you a range of suggestions.
Q: When should I order my flowers?
A: We recommend that you order at least 6 months prior to your wedding. This is because we dont always have the items in stock and have to order them from suppliers. If something isn't available then it allows enough time to find a replacement. Bear in mind that all artificial flowers come from overseas and if items are out of stock they can take several months to come in. If you know what you want and it is 6 - 12 months prior to your wedding date, then place your order. You can opt to pay in installments to make it easier on the budget and it is one less thing to organise!
Q: My wedding is 8 months away and I want to book with you but I dont want my flowers until a few weeks prior to my wedding day?
A: If you are not ready for the flowers then we simply box up and send them to you at a later date. All orders have to be paid in full before any flowers are sent out.
Q: I have had a quote on fresh flowers and my florsit is including a throwawy for free. Can you do the same?
A: Florists often include a free throwawy as they use excess flowers from your order. With artificial there is no wastage therefore there are no excess flowers to use.
Q: How do I pay?
A: Once you have filled out an order form, you can pay by any of the following:
Visa or Mastercard (through PayPal)
Money order
Cheque
Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT).
Please remember that items will not be sent until cheques have cleared.
You can pay in full on booking or a 70% non refundable deposit. All orders have to be paid in full before any flowers are sent out.
Q: What if I need to cancel my order?
A: This is a tricky one. Once your order has been filled out and we have received your payment we are unable to refund. Essentially once you have placed an order, we order the flowers from our supplier(s). This is why we require a 70% non refundable deposit. If you change your mind we cant send the flowers back to our supplier(s) which means we are out of pocket. It is very important that when ordering you are 100% happy with what you have picked.
Please note that you are entitled to a refund if the flowers are defective. Once you have received your order you need to make contact with us immediately if there are any problems. You have 7 days from the time you receive the items to advise us of a problem.
